Need search engine friendly URL not news.php?id=50

Hi Psaha,

And there was me thinking noone was reading this stuff :)

The code I posted was not a perfect mod,it was what I had done to get it to work on my site,so not massively tested, but a starter point.

I will have look at ur questions and see if I can answer them, but I will need a little time with my code to do that.

If u want to see the search engine friendly links in action to see what the end result looks like, take a look at my site: http//www.contraflo.co.uk and click on the Articles link (don't mean to plug but it will show u everything working).
They are as u describe wither the full post title in the link.

Let me and others know if u manage to fix it urself, but I should be able to post some help soon.

Faris

Can't create articles...

Hi all,

I just downloaded and installed Eggblog, It seems like a really nice blog but I can't post any articles.

Server runs win 2k8, IIS7.5, PHP 5.2.14, MySQL 5.0.51a.

I tried creating the article from different windows clients with IE and firefox

I found this http://eggblog.net/forum.php?topic=12 so I changed it manually to different languages but still no luck.

I can create forum items and post photo's, so I think it has something to do with the editor...

Any Idea?

Incomplete config.php file

I suppose the two parameters ie $config['meta_desc'] =""; $config['meta_keys'] =""; are to be filled with a little description of one's blog/website, and related keywords [cry] $config['tz'] =""; is the time zone of a country. Have mess-up this eggblog script to get better understanding of php&mysql. Thanks to whoever is the author.

No error messages on registration

I should answer this, since I don't see any posts from Egg in over a year.

This was my fault as a novice web builder, but may be worth mentioning in future documentation. I had to augment the php.ini file on my webhost to allow php sessions, which the registration function requires. I did this by looking up "php.ini sessions" in my webhost's help documentation. I hope this helps other web novices setting up eggblogs.
